and leading political professionals.

Over half a million officials are elected every year in the United States. The process of political campaigning has witnessed revolutionary change over the past few decades, and a powerful new set of political actors--political consultants--are at the forefront of modern campaigns and elections. Skills in political marketing, including polling, fundraising, media management and technology are essential for achieving success.

Fordham University is pleased to offer a new Master’s Program in Elections and Campaign Management to provide graduate training in political campaign management. The program is designed as a comprehensive, one-year introduction to both the theoretical and practical tools necessary to excel at managing political campaigns. Rigorous multidisciplinary instruction in voting behavior, candidate strategy, analysis of survey data, and media management is provided by leading academics and top industry professionals.

The Elections and Campaign Management (ECM) degree is offered in cooperation with the political science department. Instruction provides professional training in campaign strategy, execution, polling, fundraising and media management.

The M.A. program in Elections and Campaign Management is a unique program that establishes Fordham as an epicenter for the study of electoral politics and democracy. The skills acquired by students permit them to seek careers that help to establish, promote and sustain democratic principles throughout the world.

Excellence in the program is ultimately judged by the success of the program’s graduates. Graduates of the program currently work in senior-level positions in leading political consulting firms, on national and state-level political campaigns, in media networks, and in organizations that work to promote civic engagement and participation.

Excellence is also demonstrated by the top-rate professionals the program has attracted to provide course instruction. The program has recruited nationally-recognized and renowned professionals to join political science faculty members in training students in the ECM program.
